I was organizing my files and rediscovered a wonderful class I had created on the five elements. I did this class as the first ever teleclass for the association in 2005. I really enjoyed listening to the recordings again and hearing the interaction between myself and the students and practitioners who were attending. I am offering this class as a bonus to all students and practitioners who renew their membership in the RPA! This is a wonderful review of the elements with practice sessions, questions and answers and an in depth exploration of this amazing energetic system.
The principle of the Divine is behind categorizing nature into the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water. They are a continuous creation and one can’t exist without the other. If the energies are distributed correctly within us we can evolve into our full potential. It helps to feel and know the inner connectedness and oneness of everything that is. That is a feeling of harmony. This comes when we balance the five elements, within and without. They serve as the pathway leading to this highly integrated and evolved state of being. Most of us don’t experience this often. Stress blocks the chi or creates deficiency which we experience as pain, dis-ease, suffering or lack. As we look at the five element circles and go around them we see a sequence of life (spring) to death (winter) and this is reflected in nature.
According to the Chinese Five element theory happiness is our natural condition. Within our core we are already whole, complete, innocent and good. It is our birth right to explore and experience our true inner self and to accomplish the necessary work that will allow our life to be fulfilling. This was in the original teaching of Daoism. There is a way of life that allows for a very healthy alignment of the body, mind, and emotions to the inner spirit. When that shift takes place we feel happy, confident, strong, creative and wise. This wisdom starts with an awakening of the Chi life energy flowing within us.
I am happy to support the RPA by offering this 8 week seminar to anyone who renews their membership. Enjoy!
