I was late getting on board with the 26 in 52 challenge, and have just completed the Belief Repatterning. I was astonished when the belief “I am half dead” came up for clearing, and then I realized that perhaps my husband’s death three years ago had affected me at a deeper level than I had realized. This was confirmed when the family/societal belief “Only the male can provide financial security” came up next. Having begun the session with the problems I’d been having around money, this seemed almost magical.
I had also started the session with an intention that essential oils would be used for clearing, as I wanted to understand their emotional and energetic benefits better. When I muscle checked for the oil of Myrrh, that made sense, as I remember reading about how it was one of the oils used by the ancient Egyptians in their burial ceremonies. I inhaled it three times, rechecked all my statements, and everything had cleared. Then I got out my reference books, and found this quote in Susan Curtis’s excellent little reference book on essential oils:
Myrrh is appropriate if you are a purposeful and creative person but lack confidence in your ability to overcome difficulties and achieve what you want to. You may feel temporarily in the dark, or that you are struggling with a part of your own personality. Using Myrrh will put you back in touch with your inner sense of purpose, and help to open up the channels for the expression of love. (p.65)
Wow! It felt that she had been looking over my shoulder while I was doing the session! And I continue to be amazed at how three sniffs of an oil can clear an energetic pattern so easily.
