I Am My Mother/Father: Parental Repatterning: 26/52 Challenge #13…..

2652It is important for our sense of well being to identify, transform and heal our relationship with our parents. Even if we have no relationship currently or live very far away from them or they have died we are still connected deeply. My life was created from the positive charge of my fathers sperm and the negative charge of my mothers egg. This energetic combination is with me to the day I die.  We cannot separate ourselves from our parents.

My repatterning focused on my father. The issues I didn’t like about him were his emotional distance, inability to discuss or acknowledge feelings, inflexibility & acting from fear. I recognized, reluctantly, that I also resonated with some of those qualities. The unmet need from my father was that he speaks to me in a positive way and listens to what I want to share. I did not perceive that my father gave me positive attention and consistent nurturing. The resulting negative belief about men is they don’t give me loving attention.

99% of my energy was involved in maintaining these unresolved issues with my father which left only 1% of my energy to have warm, loving relationships with a partner! My compensation was that I have to keep others from getting angry with me in order to have their love. No wonder intimate relationships elude me!

I shifted my negative resonance with all of that and now am able to see that my father is loving, responsible, hard working, loyal, honest and doing the best he knows to do.  Now that feels much better…. Which parent did you focus on? Are you feeling more love and understanding for them now? Please leave a note here on my blog. Also remember that it’s not too late to join the challenge. Set an overall intention for what you want your 26 repatternings to focus on, work at your own pace and enjoy the transformation!
