He is nearly 80 years old, about to release yet another CD this October, Leonard Cohen’s songs have resonated with me since high school with his hit “So Long Marianne”. Recently I was reflecting on the words and the lyrics to many of the songs presented in his hit London Concert in 2008 (a PBS special back then) and how much more depth there is to the words than when I first heard them many years ago.
When we come up against our stuff, the daily grind of issues, we can react or the healing, spiritual introspective side of us might ask “But why”. One of my favorite Cohen songs ANTHEM answers the question and reminds me that in every problem there is an opportunity to spiral up. The more healing work we do for ourselves, the more conscious and aware we become. In the Anthem lyrics that awareness goes from my perspective for me and my issues to an expanded world view. When we do enough healing work we realize that our very footprint on the planet makes a difference to everyone around us and the world at large. You have to love Resonance Repatterning for the gift of spiraling awareness!
