I’ve got that LIVING feeling!

When was the last time you were so excited and passionate about something that you walked around with a perpetual grin? So riveted by a new idea that you forgot your  problems? When was your last “wow” moment?

There is a wonderful article by Joe Robinson in Life and Wisdom magazine. He speaks about losing the “livin feeling”.

Being fully alive requires energy to move and flow. When it flows freely we have a sense of aliveness (remember being a child?). We have the potential for living with passion and joy yet so many of us are unable to access this fully. We are stressed by our problems and lose our belief that we can have a life that is meaningful and joyous. We lose our spark.

We always have a choice; to be fully alive or pull back in fear. We can make a “to live list” as Joe Robinson suggests to get focused on joy. Create a set of FUN things to experience right now. Some suggestions:

-Go exploring in your own city: museums, galleries, restaurants, parks. Book that trip you have always wanted to take. What are you waiting for?

– Try something new: mountain biking, making jewelry, painting, sculpting, singing, dancing, joining a sports team, playing a musical instrument?

-Remember your childhood dreams. What did you love doing as a kid? Our childhood dreams can guide us to our joy! Go for it; it’s not too late….

In our grown up world it’s easy to get lost with too many responsibilities and forget that we are dealing with a “finite commodity”- TIME. We all have a limited engagement. Take a huge bite out of life..it’s good to want something more. We are here to discover….That’s LIFE!

Taize at the Old Adobe Mission…

Image result for old adobe mission scottsdale    OLD ADOBE MISSION

The old Adobe Mission is a historic landmark in Scottsdale, Arizona. It originated as Our Lady Of Perpetual Help, a Catholic Church, built by the Mexicans who settled in Scottsdale in the early 1900’s. It was designed by Robert T. Evans in a Spanish Colonial Revival architectural style. More than 14,000 adobe bricks were used; each made from a blend of native clay, silt, sand, straw, dung and water weighing 50 lbs each. They were carried and placed by hand; a true labor of love.  The entire community worked together, some with the building& fundraising; others providing on site workers with food, water and most of all encouragement. It was completed in 1933 and continued as a parish until 1956 when the parish outgrew the building and moved to a larger space.

Now the Mission continues to represent a true, historic, monument of faith. During Lent there is a beautiful meditation/music evening called Taize that I recently attended. It is an opportunity to slow down from the hectic pace of living and just quietly reflect. There is beautiful music being played with easy, repetitive lyrics, that had the effect of encouraging my inward journey until I found that inner peace. I was given a lit candle and invited to go up to the altar area when I was ready to leave my worries behind. Very symbolic and powerful!

Thank you to the immigrants who selflessly created this beautiful mission that brings such peace and joy to those who visit. If you find yourself in my beautiful city please take a moment to refresh your soul by visiting the Old Adobe Mission.

Energy Exchange – How Our Energy Interactions Create or Destroy Relationships

Carolyn Winter, Holographic Coach's avatar

When we are aware of how are energy mixes and matches with the fields of others, and the patterns we carry that govern that exchange we can exponentially improve our relationships. Currently I am retaking the Energetics of Relationship course with Chloe Wordsworth and reminded about one of my favorite repatternings Energy Exchange repatterning.  The underlying principle is that there are 3 levels of energy exchange together with stages of relationship evolution.

For the REACTION EXCHANGE think of that family reunion or gathering where not much needed to be said for a certain relative to react like a firecracker.   Reaction exchanges are big hits of cause and effect.  Its the POW POW of violent cartoons.  No one is listening, taking the time to understand what is happening, love and kindness are limited as everyone is being reactive,  If this describes your work place or family it can be a destructive environment…

Remembrance Day

Carolyn Winter, Holographic Coach's avatar

poppyfieldsjpic It is Remembrance Day.  A time energetically to affirm  our entrainment of energies with our country and our country with the world by remembering and appreciating the sacrifice and contributions of our those that serve and have served our country.  Things may not always be perfect, but here in Canada we have so much to be grateful for – peace, freedom of expression, freedom, opportunity, compassion, safety and security, and knowing that each of us has a voice that counts.  It is easy to be shielded from the truth of how fragile these gifts are, given the ravages of non coherent energy in the world. It is equally easy to become complacent and take it all for granted.

However, on Remembrance Day when we take a pause and appreciate the past and present sacrifice of others we make our interconnection, the fabric of our country and our own well being so…
