“It’s the light that lasts forever; paint the light”

kinkaideI love the work of Thomas Kinkade who was known as the painter of light:  “My mission as an artist is to capture those special moments in life adorned with beauty and light. I work to create images that project a serene simplicity that can be appreciated and enjoyed by everyone. That’s what I mean by sharing the light”. He produced over 1,000 masterworks that included nature scenes, classic cottages, lighthouses, gardens & seascapes.

He often spoke about a mentor/neighbor named Glen. Nearing the end of his life Glen  inspired him to focus his art on the light: “God is like the light; His hands holding the whole world together- it’s the light that lasts forever; paint the light”.

The new vision repatternings and exercises are all about light. How to bring more light into our system to change the things we wish to change. Einstein said “there is no darkness, only the absence of light”. It only takes a speck of light to change everything. Even our perspective”. Now that’s encouraging!

Releasing the old, embracing the new…..

Four-Seasons-TreesFall is on its way in a few weeks. According to the Five Element theory from China, the season of autumn is an invitation to reflect and let go. Nature models this by dropping the mature leaves so the new buds can grow. There is no sense of mourning or holding on. The leaves come into their full expression and drop off gracefully; completion of their life cycle.

Many eastern cultures look at maturing differently than we do. If you make it to a certain age you have achieved success. You now have time to turn inward and reconnect to your essence. Are you feeding your spirit?  Are you laughing?

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity said: “Man sacrifices his health in order to make money and be a success. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he doesn’t enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die and then dies having never really lived.”

Life is change not permanence. If we accept that we get to be happier. Autumn is a time to let go of anything that isn’t working. Remove clutter, clean out closets and drawers. Let go of negative attitudes or behaviors, judgments and criticisms, or maybe we need to forgive. Finally let go of that hurt we are carrying or that grudge against someone. Holding onto these hurts is hurting us, not the other person. Is it possible to forgive? Or maybe the better questions is: can we afford NOT to forgive?

When you make peace within, you are taking your energy back. When you refuse to let go of upset or anger, the other person is holding your energy, and you have given them power over you. Forgiveness does not imply that the actions taken against you were ok. It simply means that you are done with it. You are choosing to close the door on that experience, learn what you can from it, focus on yourself, and move on.

Abraham Lincoln said”we are just about as happy as we make our minds up to be”. We can choose our attitude. We can choose how we respond. In this beautiful season ahead, we are reminded to just let go of everything we no longer need. Recognize when it is time to drop the old with grace and dignity so a new thought, feeling or belief can blossom. AAAHHH, now doesn’t that feel better?

Tired Eyes? Try one of these 10 minute solutions

m08-VisCropIt had been a long time since I pulled the proverbial midnight oil and worked until 1:30am to complete a quilt present, clear my desk of urgent “To Do” tasks and house keeping tasks in preparation for a family gathering.   My eyes paid the price!   On camera, I looked like an advertisement for sleeping pills!    The solution was in my list of positive actions in the New Visions Book and reminded me of how the simplest of things can be the most healing.

Eye Bright Tea Compress – An Eye Bright Tea compress was the solution…a  little box of which I have had for a few years and use for these occasions.  I have never been tempted to make a pot to drink ( apparently some folks do!) but do make a small cup and when it is room temperature… i use it as a compress on closed eyes.

There is a long list of this type of remedy in the New Visions repatterning book.  Here are 2 more of my favorites

Rose Water Compress – chill the rose water in the fridge, then dip cotton pads into the cold rose water and place one pad on each closed eye.   Relax deeply and check for a piece of soothing music to play.   I heard this one on the radio and just love the sound so much I had to spend 2 hours trying to track it down online.    There are many versions and I settle on this one from Kings College.  There is a bit of  prayer at the end that gets cut off.

The compress with the video makes a wonderful 10 minute retreat in the middle of a hectic day.  It’s like having a spa moment.

Cucumber – I  think of this remedy every time I peel a cucumber for salad.  LOL…  I must admit it is a bit of a stretch to put 2 slices aside to use on my eyes when part of me is arguing it belongs in a salad!  However, for the occasions when it is needed, and a spare cucumber is staring at me from the fridge, you can’t beat the time tested remedy of cucumber slices on your eye lids.  It soothes, clears away dark circles and makes you feel like you have just had an expensive spa treatment. Of course a good new age sound track in the background will help as well!

Enjoy!

Where are Ardis’ Red Shoes Landing Next?

globeFor me nothing is more symbolic about growth and transformation than the character of  Dorothy in the story of the Wizard of Oz clicking her red shoes together to get back to Kansas.   The journey along the Yellow Brick Road, and discovering so much about herself and new found friends Tin Man, Strawman and Lion culminates with the discover of the power in the shoes – a symbol of herself and conscious awakening.

Using the Wizard of Oz story as a metaphor for her work was a natural choice with Ardis’ last name of Ozborn. We all used to ask where is the teacher teaching next?  Ardis used to teach in many cities mostly in the USA and around the world – where I liked to think of her landing with another red pair of shoes.  Now however, Ardis’ shoes remain in one place but broadcasts to many online!

Normally Ardis teaches in her online classroom “Learn Resonance Repatterning Online” where you will also find me there as the coordinator, handling the technology and recording the classes.   On September 28th, we are delighted to announce the Ardis will be teaching the Visions class again online with host Sylvi Salinas from New Mexico.     It is another opportunity to expand your tool kit of Resonance Repatterning and facilitating the absolute extraordinary for your clients.

The Red Shoes are landing here… A NEW VISION WITH RESONANCE REPATTERNING with Ardis Ozborn – Hosted by Sylvi Salinas….

m08-VisCrop If you are interested in this course (September 28th to October 15th) you can arrange for your registration at www.Ozardis.com and Sylvi will be in touch with you!

Enjoy!
