Hearing Repatterning: Am I being heard?

Knowing and trusting that my system (energetic, guidance, subconscious, etc.) knows where to take me next, I am following the 26/52 Repatterning Challenge with a very broad intent: What do I need to know next in order to show up in my highest and best capacity? Enter Resonance Repatterning # 3: Hearing Repatterning.

No one was around when I entered this world. Well,  I guess it’s more accurate to say that no one was awake for my entrance. Ok, so the doctor was (thank heavens!), but I was looking and hoping for someone who cared for me on a deeper level to be there to hear my first cry… my first voice. I needed to know from the get-go that I would be heard. That what I had to say, albeit as a cry, a whimper or a deep breath, was worthwhile. Actually, I wanted my first sound in this world to be earthshaking … I wanted to rock my parents’ world with what I had to express. As it was, my mother was sedated and my father had gone home to take a nap, awaiting the call that I had arrived. Accepted procedure in the dinosaur era. Totally acceptable in the day. No judgment, no blame. But imagine making the greatest “ta-dah” of your life and no one of magnitude is around… what’s a girl to think? Maybe that “I have nothing to say that is worth listening to?”

That was my wake-up realization in this Hearing Repatterning session.  That no one is listening.  Or at least that is/was my perception.  And my perception is really all that counts.  As long as I feel no one is listening and that what I have to say is not worth listening to, why on earth would I speak up after all these years? * As synchronicity would have it, I drew a divination card just two days ago that indicates that part of my purpose/path includes oration.  On a deep level that resonates… I get all excited inside when I envision motivating and inspiring and others’ hearing me at their core.  If this is to be, then this I have nothing to say that is worth listening to is cramping my style!

As ways to undo this belief pattern within me, the brilliance of Resonance Repatterning led me to 3 modalities (yes, it took 3 different approaches before my resonance with that belief shifted… an indication of how deeply ingrained it was.  After all, I’ve been “practicing” that belief since birth!).  Drumming, an Earth Meridian Sound and a Stature of Power and Creativity all contributed to loosening and dissolving this expression-dampening belief.

*Those who know me may be scratching their heads because as a friend, coach, facilitator, mother and wife I do indeed express myself (plenty!, some would say :-)!  The issue lies not so much in whether I express… it lies in whether I believe/know at my core that what I am saying is worthwhile.  As long as I resonate with doubt in my worthwhile-ness I will not step fully into all I can be.

#8 of 26 in 52… Negative thoughts repatterning

2652This week I will practice the Negative thoughts repatterning in the primary patterns book. This powerful repatterning is actually  8 repatternings in one. I am only doing one of the categories for this session and plan on doing some of the other categories at a later time.

The primary pattern that controls me and my life is my mind. My thought are the expression of my mind. They create the reality I experience everyday. My mind works through habit. The more I indulge in negative thoughts the more neural pathways I create for those thoughts in my mind.

Am I being controlled by fear? anger? worry? I can’t wait to find out and make the shift!

Creativity Is For Everyone….

Children know they are Picasso’s! They bring their masterpieces home from school fully expecting them to be placed on the refrigerator. They are confident and bold in their creative expression. When did that change for you?

Creativity is our unique expression; not limited to artistic pursuits. You may express your creativity in a myriad of ways; cooking, speaking, doing your work, parenting, etc. The key is to fully express YOU.

The Creative Self Expression repatterning is a fun and powerful opportunity to know yourself better. What are you resonating with? Painting? Playing an instrument? Acting? Gardening? Each time I do this I get to choose some new way to express myself.

I now resonate with”I create for the pleasure and joy of it!”

Belief Repatterning Insights: Somatic Correlation

Insights invariably emerge several days after a Repatterning.  Here is my Belief Repatterning revelation.

I make a great guinea pig.  In fact, so much of what I know about what is going on with individuals is due to personal experience.  It is my understanding that most physical issues have an emotional, mental and/or spiritual component.  Yes, I know that the sprained ankle is “physical” and occurred by stepping on a banana peel (pick your circumstance).  And I may have to admit (kicking and screaming) that at least some percentage of physical ailments have no other correlation than foot + banana peel = sprained ankle.  But when I KEEP spraining that ankle, or I talk about “my weak ankles,” or am unsteady on my feet because of loose ligaments, can’t climb mountains, or move forward easily… oooh… can you hear the symbolism?

So for me right now, it’s my hip.  My left hip to be exact.  It has been an item of interest since I was 15.  Nothing happened to my knowledge (although I have had some intuitive “hits” about my birthing and childhood antics).   At 15, playing racquetball I remember feeling “uneven” as I walked back to my starting position.  I then used that hip to stand with defiance, to carry my school books, and to hoist my babies.  One day sitting in a long car ride it “gave” and for 3 years I was in major discomfort.  A chiropractor helped tremendously and my hip went back to being noticeable but not interfering.  My hip would show up but not interfere with anything I wanted to do:  Karate, gym, hiking, Jazzersize, Tai Chi, Zumba, Yoga, etc.   Fast forward 20 years:  I stepped just so on a cobblestone in Europe and the hipster has been back on center stage for a year and 1/2.

A real live physical issue.  AND… Hips, according to Body-Mind-Spirit expert Louise Hay, have to do with the direction in which we are going.  Try turning off a path on which you are walking without turning/angling your hips.  You either can’t do it or you pull a muscle trying.  Lest you deduce from this that my life is off track, it isn’t.  I am grateful for where I am, where I have been and what I have done.  AND there is this yearning within me to show up more boldly, to step out, to step fully into who I know I am, to fulfill some dreams and I have definitely held back.  Just like I might hold back on a physical outing right now because my hip feels weak and hurts.

All this to share that after doing the Belief Repatterning on myself I have “suddenly” started doing a particular stretch (I’ve been familiar with this stretch forEVER) and my personal trainer just shared with me an exercise, both of which have put me from a 7 to a 3 on a scale of discomfort.  And for the first time in more than a year I feel like walking and hiking.  I feel like moving forward and branching out onto different paths.  Not only to I feel like it, I feel I CAN.  I can feel a change coming on :-)!
