Adjusting to Daylight Savings Time…

MP900382676[1] Our body must adjust to daylight savings just like flying to a new time zone. One way to make this transition is to use the energy of our Meridians. We all have them; they are rivers of energy that flow through our bodies. When the energy flows free of obstructions we experience a sense of ease. When that flow is interrupted we have a sense of dis ease.  According to Chinese Medicine the 12 major meridians all have a high period as you divide up the 24 hours. Each period is two hours. The meridians have many points on them. The best point to help with time change is the horary point. By gently contacting these points it balances our daily time clock.

Daylight saving time begins on March 9th. On March 8th it would be great to activate the flow of all twelve meridians by holding the horary point on each of them. Ideally you want to activate this point at the high energy time. For example, the high energy time for the stomach is 7-9A.M. Hold the point for about one minute.  Proceed to each horary point during each high energy time period. You can set an intention that you are holding the horary points for the late night and early morning points prior to going to sleep so you don’t have to wake up during the night. An example would be the liver meridian. It’s high time is 1-3 A.M. Before going to sleep just state “I am using the current time to proxy for the liver meridians high time” and just hold the point before turning in for the night. You can do this for all the late meridian high times so you can stay asleep. This is also a great idea when flying to a different time zone.

The Five Element/Meridian book has all the horary points for the 12 meridians. If you have not yet taken resonance repatterning just google: meridian horary point charts and that will give you the locations.

Enjoy!

Learn the Harmonic Overtones with Kathie Joblin

This week we invited long time Resonance Repatterning practitioner, Kathie Joblin to teach us the Harmonic Overtones.  While Kathie is a musician she insists that you don’t need to be one in order to learn an effective way of doing the overtones as a healing modality.    This is an effective modality that many practitioners shy away from due to lack of practice  and a bit of shyness.  You will easily get over it with Kathie’s coaching.   Revitalize this modality for your tool box  and catch this video Catch this SPREECAST rewind here:  http://www.spreecast.com/events/learn-harmonic-overtones

Just another way to make your client sessions EXTRAORDINARY!

Stretching is good….

I met a wonderful student in my seminars years ago. She was a natural for the Resonance Repatterning seminars that I teach.  She “got” the concepts that we are energetic by nature and that our “reality” is a reflection of our internal state. When she “graduated” from the basic six seminars I asked her if becoming a certified practitioner was something she wanted to focus on. She shared with me that school had always been difficult for her and that she often felt insecure and “stupid” when trying to learn something.

I told her she was very good at Resonance Repatterning. She was thrilled to get that feedback and told me that it was the first thing she had studied that made her feel “smart!” I encouraged her to “stretch” herself and commit to the certification journey. She hesitated initially because the idea of being observed and receiving feedback flashed her back to the frightening experiences she had as a child. I offered to do a session with her to “clear” her attachment to those old beliefs. She accepted and it was a powerful opportunity for her to update her little girl and start resonating with her new belief that she is smart and able to learn easily!

She took the journey even with some residual anxiety. I observed her sessions and was very impressed by her confidence, focus, attention to her client and relative ease with the process. I recommended that she be certified by the RPA. When they approved her application she celebrated! Completing all the requirements had taken her about a year and she was very proud of this accomplishment. Even more importantly was the transformation of her old beliefs about herself. Each time she demonstrated her prowess and received feedback she learned more about who she really is. We are not who we were. It takes a willingness to “stretch” in order to know who we are now.

Are you ready for a new definition of yourself? I look forward to supporting you in your journey towards certification..

The New Online Seminar Room…

Our new online seminar room is like no other! It answered the concerns of many that the in person weekend training could never be replaced with an online format. The difference is that our online seminar room is just that, a space providing a live interactive experience of learning versus the pre-recorded webinar format.

The environment is similar to an in person seminar – the ‘seminar doors’ open 20 minutes prior to the start of class, it allows us to get oriented, fix any techie glitches, get tea or just chat.  There is the added benefit of meeting everyone else’s pets (Ardis’ dog Brody!), have the snacks and beverages of your choice, and be relaxed in your own  home.

How do we do it?

We use the free services of a pioneering company at http://www.VSee.com. Visit them to obtain your free plugin and learn more about the service. Put my email address in your VSee contact list and we can connect face to face instantly! Similar to the regular classroom experience, the VSee service allows us to share documents online like the white board, observe teacher demonstrations and do practices! It is very cool.

What Seminars Use this Class room.  At www.Ozardis.com we offer frequent community events using this service most of which are free as well as the regular seminars.  Here is a link to the online seminars .

Interested? Here are the technical requirements:

– a webcamera preferably one that you attach to your computer (the Logitech pro is the most popular one and is sold at Walmart for under $100). If you have computer already has a computer in it you will need a head set to reduce echoing (also sold at Walmart under $50).
– a cable internet (or fiber optic) internet connection is necessary. Connection through your phone line will not hold the call.
– computer is plugged directly into cable connection in the wall. Wifi does not hold a large video call
– A 5 or 6 year old computer may be too slow and tablets (Ipad, etc) will not hold the group call

Try it out by visiting www.VSee.com. Install the plugin as directed and add my email (carolyn@lighttravels.com) to your contact list. That is all you need to do to have VSee available. If you also have SKPYE available you will have to turn it off so that you can connect to VSee, since it is the same thing- just more consistent better connection. I will then contact you and give a free orientation!

Getting to Know You…

As winter continues to wreak havoc in most of the world many people are spending more time at home. If your looking for a project to pass the time I have a wonderful idea. Go up into your attic or down to your basement or perhaps pull out a drawer and find your baby pictures and photo’s of your younger self. Make a collage or pick out a couple of your favorite photo’s and have them enlarged and then make a beautiful frame to show yourself off.

This is an exercise I have students do in my seminars. Get to know the little one inside of you. This is you. This is your essence. When did you last gaze into your little child’s eyes? What do you see when you do this? Create a sentence that describes you; free of all judgments and criticisms. Speak it out loud. How does it feel to hear these loving descriptions of yourself? Uncomfortable? If so repeat it and pay attention to your breathing. Slowly and deeply. Continue this exercise until it feels comfortable to hear loving words about yourself.

Now find the perfect spot to put these pictures. Make your child a part of your family. Display your child right next to all the family pictures you love. Loving the child within is the secret to a happy life. If your child is happy you get to be happy.

Now isn’t that little one adorable???
